This is titianmind. The editorial blog for titianMag.
I originally started this magazine, not only as a repository for the things I enjoy, find interesting and important, but also wanted to share it with a few like minded people. It seems to be morphing into something more then I had envisioned, mitosis online.
I currently use a free hosting and software service that has upsides and downsides. Upsides, it’s free and it can autonomously update everyday from the sources I select, saving me time, money and effort. Downsides, I have only limited editing functions to the look, feel, content, and organization. Also, readers can’t leave comments or feedback. That’s why you sometimes might think ” Why would Barclay include this or in this section even? Why hasn’t he posted an article about fillintheblank current event? Why can’t I comment, participate? Why is there no site search?”
Since I’ve gotten some positive responses, I’d like to have complete control to my published product and provide a better experience for the readers. That means, as included in the upsides above, time, money, effort. I’m currently looking at different options to enable me to do this, such as web-hosting, software, and ad placement, as I have no control over it now. I must make it independent. Self sufficient.
Next I need to know what you guys think. What types of stories / articles do you, the readers, want or don’t? Do you even like the name, or the fact it’s an evening publication? Do you enjoy the somewhat randomness / weirdness of it? I need feedback to help cement the direction and focus of this magazine / newspaper / periodical. Help me define it. Or screw you all, I’ll figure it out on my own
